The Faculty of Information and Information Technologies is one of the youngest faculties of DSU. It was formed in 2010 in response to increasing demand for information technologies in the sphere of science, education as well as in social life.
The faculty is headed by Doctor of Engineering, professor, Honorary Educator of Dagestan and Honorary Higher School Worker Akhmedov Suleiman Abduragimovich.
Information technologies and telecommunications top the list of priorities of modern education. These technologies are designed to change the rate of social development in the third millennium and to overview the main tasks of new educational programs. In modern conditions without use of information technologies, it is impossible to make a major breakthrough in training highly qualified specialists meeting high demands of contemporary society
The Faculty of Information and Information Technologies trains IT specialists and researchers, who specialize in the following areas: Information Systems and Technologies; Applied Mathematics; Mathematical Methods in Economy.
The faculty has a number of subdivisions in the sphere of Information Technologies used in academic activity: Internet Centre, data-computing centre, regional Centre of Modern Information Technologies used in the sphere of education and science, resource centre, computer rooms and so on.
The faculty trains specialists with the knowledge of «1С» С++ и Java programs. The curricula also includes such programming languages as Visual Basic, TurboPascal, Foxpro, Delphi.
Our alumni head Automation and Programming Departments in state institutions, such as Department of the Treasury, Dagestan Medical Academy, Federal Security Service. They are also sought after by non-state organizations as ColorIT, Bevolex, 05ru, IT (ИТ).
